IMPAC-T Participated in 2nd Asia Pacific Water Summit (APWS) at Cheingmai
Thailand hosted the 2nd Asia Pacific Water Summit (APWS) in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Water Forum and its international and regional partners during 14th– 20th May 2013 at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre , Chiang Mai. The primary themes of the 2nd APWS was “ Water Security and Water-related Disaster Challenges: Leadership and Commitment”.
IMPAC-T was invited by Royal Thai Government to participate in 2nd APWS. In the part of Technical Workshop, IMPAC-T organized the session “Hydro-Meteorological Prediction and Adaptation to Climate Change in Thailand and Asia-Pacific countries” which consists of panel discussion in topic “How we can share the responsibility in decision making of water resource management under changing climate among government and researchers” and presentations the research in earth observation, hydrological model development and flood risk management (focusing on ChaoPhraya river basin). In the exhibition zone , posters showing outputs from all research groups of IMPAC-T were exhibited in three booths in the exhibition hall.
