Sedimentation Risk under Climate Change: Concentrate on Adaptation to Landslide

  2. Promote the community-based LS warning system to be used in the provincial level

Objective

Adaptation to Landslide Disaster and Climate Risk Management and Climate
change impact assessment. Develop the Community-based of Landslide waring
system and tools. Propose the system to province shelf of Disaster Mitigation
and Evacuate year plan.


Expected Outcomes

  • Landslide/slope failure/sedimentation audit and risk assessment of existing significant infrastructures
  • Risk based design level and adaptation approaches for mitigation the impact from landslide/slope failure/sedimentation
  • Develop community-based LS warning system and tools
  • Climate change impact to landslide
  • Climate change adaptation


Description of Activities

  • Maintenance LS System at Krabi
  • Action with Krabi Government Official for set up the province shelf of Disaster Mitigation and Evacuate year plan.
  • Seminar“ Landslide Management Seminar in Chiang Rai “Case study of Doi Chang, Wawi District, Chiang Rai Province ”at Modchanaphai Foundation.
  • Collecting data Doi Change Site
